"The use of warm textures and punctuation of colours, a blend of modern with classic styles, choice of meaningful art and personal memorabilia gives May Ping Design homes soul and character."
All this with a sense of contemporary practicality.
The Co-Partners and Directors of May Ping Designs are May Ping Wong and Sammy Harari. They began their collaboration back in 2000 and have since created homes in three continents. Their projects have been influenced by their collective extensive travel.
May Ping Wong
Throughout the course of my career, a sense of adventure lured me to different cities. An advertising career which began in New York City, continued in Milan, Dusseldorf and Hong Kong before moving to London to work in a position that took me all over Asia.
The many moves and setting up home in different cities, with space always at a premium, it was a challenge to make the most of what was there. I have therefore enjoyed the challenge of transforming seemingly restricted spaces into stylish homes.
On returning to New York in 2002, I became fully immersed in the marketing of luxury real estate and had the privilege to work with the largest property developers in the U.S. Working alongside world renowned architects and interior designers provided an invaluable insightful experience.
Since moving back to London in 2009, my passion for design and creating beautiful and elegant homes continues. My goal is always to deliver a product that positively surpasses a client's expectations.
Sammy Harari
After a successful career in advertising which included being Chief Executive of TBWA UK and setting up and then selling my own agency Harari Page to a large Japanese multinational group, I then focused on what had been hitherto a parallel interest in real estate.
In between travelling extensively around the world, the Harari company located, financed, interior designed and project managed luxury boutique projects in France, the United States, the United Kingdom and recently in Thailand.
In every case, the sell out achieved record prices.
The latest project includes the development of a boutique hotel on the island of Ko Samui.
